Cookie Policy

Hanasay uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies, only where they are needed to run the service. We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.

What we use

Essential — login session

Our authentication provider, Clerk, sets cookies that keep you signed in. Without these, the service cannot remember who you are between page loads. These are required.

Product analytics

We use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to understand how the product is used in aggregate. Hanasay configures PostHog in memory-only mode, which means it does not place persistent analytics cookies or use local storage on your device. Each browser session is treated as a fresh visitor. Session recording is disabled.

Payments — Polar checkout

When you go through checkout, the page is served by Polar and Polar may set its own cookies on its own domain to process the payment. These are not set by us and we don't control them; see Polar's privacy policy for details.

Third-party trackers we don't use

Hanasay does not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, LinkedIn Insight, or any other advertising or social-media tracker.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the Clerk session cookie will sign you out and prevent you from using the authenticated parts of the service.
