Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026
We want you to feel comfortable trying Hanasay. This page explains how cancellations and refunds work in plain English. It is meant to be generous within reason.
The 7-day free trial
The annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, the full annual price is charged on day 7 and the subscription begins.
You can cancel from the Polar customer portal at any time during the trial — the link is in the receipt email Polar sent you when you signed up.
30-day refund, no questions asked
For any paid subscription (monthly or annual), if you email us within 30 days of your first paid charge and ask for a refund, we'll give you one. You don't need to justify it.
To request a refund, email hello@hanasay.com from the email address on your account. We process refunds through Polar; depending on your bank, the money usually returns within 5–10 business days.
After 30 days
After the 30-day window, refunds are at our discretion. Cancelling a subscription is not the same as a refund — when you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, and no further charges happen.
Renewals
Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year unless you cancel. Polar will email you a receipt at renewal. The 30-day refund window applies to each new paid charge, including renewals — if a renewal catches you off guard, email us within 30 days and we'll refund it.
EU and UK statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you may also have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital services purchase within 14 days. Our 30-day policy is more generous, so in practice that's what we'll apply, but the statutory right remains available to you.
How to cancel
Open the receipt email Polar sent you, click the customer-portal link, and cancel from there. Or email hello@hanasay.com and we'll do it for you.
